Add-on parts for the interior of a Bus

Interior accessories / attachments for your VW Bus T2: practical details for the cabin

Interior accessories / attachments for the VW Bus T2 include numerous small and larger components that complement, protect or functionally enhance the cabin. The linked category contains covers and clips for the sliding-door guide, a sliding-door entry trim, drink and phone holders, various Jail Bars with matching brackets, storage nets, cushions and a radio console for the area beneath the dashboard. The range therefore extends from functional mounting and covering parts to interior accessories for storage, comfort and appearance. Especially during restoration or when selectively upgrading the cabin, it is worthwhile examining the existing components and their respective installation positions carefully.

Why are interior accessories / attachments important on the VW Bus T2?

Many of these components perform specific tasks inside the vehicle. Covers for roller guides, for example, neatly close off technical areas around the sliding door, while clips hold the corresponding trim components in place. An entry trim protects or completes the area around the sliding door. Jail Bars and brackets are used in different positions such as the side windows, rear window or rear bench and, depending on the version, can also be associated with curtains. Drink holders, storage nets and a radio console, on the other hand, extend the practical use of the interior. The combination of these smaller components therefore helps create a complete, functional and tidy cabin.

When should I inspect or replace interior accessories and attachments?

An inspection is advisable whenever interior trim, sliding-door components or other cabin areas are dismantled. Look for broken clips, damaged covers, loose brackets or missing mounting parts. Entry trims, Jail Bars and their brackets should also be checked for secure positioning and visible damage. With accessories such as drink holders, nets or consoles, it is important that the mounting remains stable and does not interfere with adjacent components. Particularly during restoration, mountings and interior attachments should be recorded systematically so that missing or damaged individual parts are not discovered only after reassembly.

How are interior accessories and attachments installed?

The installation method differs considerably depending on the component. A cover or clip is installed differently from a Jail Bar, entry trim or radio console. What all parts have in common is that their mounting points and intended installation positions should be checked before assembly.

• Inspect existing components and mountings: Check which covers, clips, brackets or accessories are present and whether mounting points are damaged or incomplete.
• Prepare the installation area carefully: Remove dirt and loose residue and check whether the intended mounting points and contact surfaces are freely accessible.
• Position the attachment correctly: Align the cover, bracket, Jail Bar, trim or other accessory according to its intended position and avoid installing it under unnecessary tension.
• Check fit and function after installation: Make sure the component is securely mounted and that adjacent doors, windows, seats or trim panels continue to function correctly.

Particularly with smaller interior attachments and mounting components, careful installation is important so that covers, brackets and accessories remain correctly positioned over time.

Which interior accessories / attachments are suitable for my VW Bus T2?

When making your selection, first determine which area of the cabin you want to complete or repair. The linked category includes sliding-door guide covers, clips, entry trims, Jail Bars, brackets, drink holders, storage nets, cushions and radio consoles. Some components are also intended for specific installation positions such as left, right, side, rear or the rear bench. Production period and specific vehicle version may also be relevant for individual parts. The existing component, mounting point, installation position and respective product information should therefore be compared carefully before selecting the appropriate accessory.
